Parent swap is a thing...

Have a little one that can’t go on the ride? Parent Swap allows you person to enjoy the ride as the second waits with the child. When the first person finishes their ride, the second person (whether you’re a parent, friend or guardian, can then go to the front of the line to enjoy the next ride. Sweeeet!

Best time to visit the parks?

It depends! The Oz school holidays are a busy time for the parks, meaning the waiting times may be longer. If you want to avoid the crowds, it’s best to visit outside of these periods, especially on a weekday. However, as the park operates all days of the year, rides may be under maintenance during these less busy times.

Beat the crowd before opening

Particularly in peak holiday periods, we recommend rocking up 15-20 minutes before the park opens to ensure you can do the rides, you’re keen on before it packs up. All parks open at 10:00am so get ready in line at around 9:40am – 9:45am.

Check for ride maintenance

As parks operate all year, each attraction needs to go under maintenance at some point. Check the Village Roadshow app or website for any ride closures ahead of the day. We know it can be disheartening it can be to be excited for certain rides, only for it to be closed for maintenance. So be sure to check to avoid disappointment or choose another time to go.

Everyone can have fun

Wheelchair hire is complimentary at all parks and is recommended to pre-book with each park’s Guest Services. For guests who require wheelchair accessibility support, it’s recommended to visit Guest Services to discuss rider suitability. There are numerous attractions that are accessible via wheelchair and staff will provide a guide to ensure your fun.

Download the app

Ahead of your day, make the most of the Village Roadshow app to see the interactive maps, upcoming showtimes so you don’t miss them and monitor the wait times for each ride. It’s a sweet hack to make the most of your day.
