And just like that the school holidays have arrived.

We all know that it can be a challenge to keep the little ones entertained during the holidays. Luckily for those in iconic Sydney, there’s no shortage of fun things you can see and do without breaking the bank.

Put a stop to the “I’m bored” these school holidays with our favourite activities in Sydney for $100 or less.

Sydney Immersive Gamebox

Now this is one way to limit screentime without the hassle! Shake up the holiday routine by taking the kids to try real life gaming at Australia's first Immersive Gamebox. Using your body as the controller, this user-friendly gaming experience is perfect for the whole gang as it caters to groups of 2-6 players. With games inspired by classics including Angry Birds and Ghostbusters, it has something for everyone and even better, it won’t stretch the wallet too much.

Nothing beats a classic zoo visit. The iconic Taronga Zoo may have some of the best views in Sydney, but it’s also home to some of the coolest animals on the planet. With the zoo entry and ferry combo, ride the ferry in and admire the magic of Sydney before spending the day with zebras, giraffes, kangaroos and more. Jumping on the return ferry and making your way home, this will be a day the whole fam will remember for less than $100 per person - which is a big yes from us!

iFLY Indoor Skydiving Sydney

They may be too young to jump out of planes, but the kids can still experience it at Sydney's iFly Indoor Skydiving in Penrith. Suiting up, they’ll be blown away, literally, in this giant wind tunnel as they get to spend time playing superheroes. Plus, it’s also fun for adults, giving you a taste before you commit to the real thing (if you choose to do it!). The best part is that it’s currently on sale, so you can fly for less than $100 per person. You already know the kids will love telling their friends back at school that you took them out flying.

TreeTop Adventure Park Sydney

These holidays, head into the trees and breathe in the fresh air at the TreeTop Adventure Park in Western Sydney.. Fun for all ages, there are different courses to suit all abilities, welcoming the less confident all the way through to the adventurous. Unfortunately, any cherubs under three will need to sit this one out, but you and the older kids will have a ball as you live out your Tarzan dreams, navigating rope bridges, zip lines and more. Don’t worry, anyone not harnessing up can get in and watch for free!

Sydney 4 Attractions Pass

Four attractions in one pass at a pretty price? Now that’s a deal. Make this one of the best school holidays yet when you take the kids to tick off the main highlights with the Sydney Four Attractions Pass. Whether you're playing tourist in your own city or visiting from afar, you can see the best the city has to offer when you check out WILD LIFE Sydney, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Tower Eye and Madame Tussauds Sydney. This pass is valid for up to 60 days after your first visit, meaning you can take your time or smash it all out in a day or two. All within walking distance of each other, you won't need to travel too far either.

Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq Alexandria

What do you get when you combine a circus with an arcade? A kaleidoscope of endless fun. Not just any ordinary arcade, the Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq in Alexandria take amusement to the next level with dazzling state-of-the-art virtual reality games and thrill rides. From dodgem cars and Dance Dance Revolution to laser tag and even a bar (for the real big kids), you already know this will be a hit for the whole fam. Here a little can go a long way, so just load the card with your desired amount and off you go.

Sydney Harbour Tall Ship Afternoon Cruise

Do you have a pirate-loving scallywag on your hands? Give them a treat when you transport the family back in time on an authentic 1850’s tall ship cruise these school holidays. Kicking back, you’ll get to spend quality time with the kids as you sail along Sydney Harbour, taking in the wicked sights on a historic vessel. Who knows, they might even learn something new! Throw in some yummy appetisers and tickets that cost less than $100 each and that sounds like a win to us!

Manly Guided Kayak Tour with Snacks and Drinks

If you're looking for an excuse to get them out of the house, take the kids out paddling with a Guided Clearview Kayak Tour at Manly. Sun, water, and some solid physical activity - that is exactly what's needed these school holidays. Follow the guide as he takes you on a relaxing journey around the picturesque coves and beaches of Manly, stopping for some dedicated swimming time. Oh, and did we mention this experience includes snacks and drinks? The perfect recipe for a fun day out!

B Lucky & Sons Arcade

No matter the weather, we’ve got something that won’t fail to disappoint, rain, hail, or shine. Flock to B Lucky & Sons and keep the good times rolling these school holidays when you visit this modern arcade in Moore Park. Challenge the kids and let them unleash their inner gamer as they explore the collection of classic video games with the likes of Space Invaders, Mario Kart and more. You’ll all leave beaming ear to ear for less than $50 each.

Mystery Picnic in the Rocks and Darling Harbour

Ever feel like playing in the Amazing Race? This experience will be right up your alley. Give the whole family a surprise these holidays when you organise a mystery picnic in the Rocks and Darling Harbour. Round up the tribe and put your heads together as you work to unravel clues and riddles to unlock a yummy gourmet spread at a secret location. Once you’ve solved the mystery and found the picnic, you can embrace the sun and enjoy the beautiful scenes of Sydney. Usually the one to arrange all the details, it’ll be nice for you to be just as surprised as the kids!
